Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China 70 years ago, China’s steel industry has made remarkable achievements: from crude steel output of only 158,000 tons in 1949 to over 100 million tons in 2018, crude steel output reached 928 million tons, accounting for half of the world’s crude steel output; From smelting more than 100 kinds of steel, rolling more than 400 kinds of specifications of steel, to high-strength offshore engineering steel, X80 + high-grade pipeline steel plate, 100-meter online heat treatment rail and other high-end products achieved a major breakthrough…… With the development of the steel industry, China’s upstream and downstream steel industries, such as raw material industry, equipment manufacturing industry and e-commerce industry, have achieved rapid development. We invited guests from the upstream and downstream steel industries to talk about the changes that have taken place in the steel industry in the past 70 years from the perspective of their respective industries. They also expressed their views on how to serve the steel industry to achieve high-quality development and how to build a steel dream factory.
